Abstract

The goal of this paper is to present the road and transportation infrastructure of a young Slovak Republic (SR) and its place in European context as well as the possibility to connect it on European road and transportation (railway, waterway, air transport...) systems. The forecast of mobility between the West and East Europe gives the possibility for SR to prepare this connection through its territory (road network and high speed rail network)ed. The paper will give a view on these goals, forecasts and possibilities from the point of view of European urban traffic routes and the conditions. (A)
