Road losses and attitudes toward traffic laws.

Abstract

A particular aspect of cultural ambivalence is shown. People are indeed concerned about road losses, especially when these are mounting, but people do not want to do anything too radical, that might really work. This is particularly true with respect to the treatment of traffic offenders. A demand for law and order is the inevitable result.
