Abstract

Although road pricing policies are generally seen as an effective measure to deal with transport related problems (e.g. congestion), the number of implemented road pricing schemes is relatively limited. The thesis aims to gain insights into complex interplay between policy actors, media and public in road pricing policy processes to understand the success or failure of the introduction of road pricing policies.
