Abstract

This paper is about road safety education of children in France. The following groups are identified: (1) children up to 6 years of age; (2) 6 to 11 year-old primary school children; and (3) 12-16 year-old junior high school children. Children are very receptive to road safety messages, if these messages are tailored to their own age group. The role of educating children belongs to the family, close friends, and schools.
