Abstract

The aim of research on road safety education is to identify ways in which road safety education can be made more effective at reducing young people's (aged 18 or under) road accidents. In order to achieve this aim a wide range of research has been carried out. There is not simple recipe for structuring a research programme in this field, but a model has been followed in researches at the TRRL. The basis for this model is discussed, in detail.
