Abstract

Road safety is now regarded as an important public health issue. Proportionally, developing countries are the most affected by the human and economic impact of road accidents that are constantly increasing. This session is devoted to a presentation of the action plans coordinated at an international level, and examples of the approaches followed in different countries. The aim is to highlight the successes and principal difficulties encountered in implementing a policy for the sustainable improvement of road safety at the national level. For the covering abstract see ITRD E139491.
