Abstract

Concern for road safety is reflected in the policy programmes of most municipal authorities in one way or the other, but it is often confined to a general object. There is however the unsatisfactory state of affairs that, despite the fact that everyone agrees that road safety should be improved, not enough is being done in practice. Town planners and local authorities should ask traffic engineers to develop the planning With them and vice versa.
