Abstract
The aim of the Road Safety Risk Factors Study is to monitor (i) the prevalence of road-related risk behaviours, and (ii) attitudes to, and perceptions of, road safety issues. The survey is conducted quarterly. It comprises a set of core questions that are asked each quarter, and supplementary questions that change each quarter. The core questions are related to drinking and driving, speeding, seat belt use, fatigue, bicycle helmet wearing, traffic offences and pedestrian activity. In the third survey, the supplementary questions were related to penalties for drink driving offences. This report presents the results of the third survey.
