Abstract
This presentation addresses the interaction between motorists and regulations to control them. The variations in motoring laws between countries are addressed in light of increasing international travel and the predominance of the automobile as a means of transportation for travellers. The experience with specific laws, such as those dealing with speed limits and impaired driving are considered in light of their effectiveness and public acceptance.
