Abstract

Abu Dhabi Company for Onshore Oil Operations (ADCO) is committed to reduce all vehicle related accidents and hazards and has developed a comprehensive Road Safety System in order to enhance the drivers behavior and attitude. It comprises ADCO Document for Safe Driving (ADSD), In Vehicle Monitoring System (IVMS) and ADCO Integrated Road Safety System (AIRSS). The IVMS system is installed in the company's business vehicles and the customized AIRSS involves a set of data bases to maintain information on knowledge assessment, training results, permit cards, accidents and violations of each driver. These plus the new road safety policy have been followed at all levels and by contractors who wish to do business with the company. For the covering abstract see ITRD E119888.
