Road salt (sodium chloride) injury to Kentucky bluegrass.

Abstract

This study has shown that sufficient rock salt was applied to park roads to cause the death of the bluegrass turf along the roadsides. the qualitative chemical method for determining sodium chloride injury as proposed by Thomas appears satisfactory for determining rock salt injury.
