Abstract

This paper describes the operation of a vehicle known as SCRIM (Sideways Force Coefficient Routine Investigation Machine) which was designed and developed by the Transport and Road Research Laboratory of Great Britain. Calibration equipment for use in the workshop and in the field is described, together with the method adopted for testing and the presentation of results.
