Although a considerable amount of work has been done and general guidance is available on desirable reflection qualities and those of surfaces in use, systematic measurement and presentation of data is not yet available in Britain. The performance requirements of road lighting have been outlined in some detail, but more knowledge is required of wet weather requirements.
