Abstract

Designing and evaluating of road lighting are based on the assumption that road surface reflection properties are alike all over the road. During exploitation reflection properties of various areas of road surface change because damaged places are repaired with materials different from road surface substance, local deformations arise etc. This work presents the methods and results of studies aimed at finding out how common these phenomena are and whether they lead to substantial changes of road lighting performance parameters and visibility conditions on the road.
