Abstract
This report contains the collective views of an international group of experts and is divided into 13 chapters: introduction; road safety and transport policy development; development and improvement of national reporting systems; behaviour and education; screening and training; the road environment; safety factors in the design of vehicles; appropriate technology for protection against injuries; alcohol and other drugs; legislation and enforcement; organisation and management of road safety programs; the role of public health authorities; and international cooperation.
