Abstract

Road user behaviour is very complex and has been studied in different ways, starting from different scientific backgrounds. But the goal of all these studies has been more or less the same: understanding road user behaviour in order to explain accident patterns and to design and evaluate countermeasures. In here a personal reflection is presented on models, theories and research on road user behaviour.
