Road width requirements of commercial vehicles when cornering.

Abstract

The road width required by a vehicle to negotiate a bend or corner varies with the design of the vehicle and its size. This report discusses the factors involved and gives some measurements obtained with a sample of commercial vehicles. The results are compared with others obtained using models and by calculation.
