Abstract

It is possible to distinguish two groups in developing regions which have fairly homogeneous characteristics and within which road networks have a number of similarities: (A) regions of primary economic development surrounded by a similar level of development (B) enclaves of economic depression or of primary economic development within a larger industrialised region. This report attempts to sketch some of Spain's experience in recent years.
