Roadside development : evaluation of research.

Abstract

This report identifies and describes the top-priority research needed for roadside development. The types of research needed are listed as quantification of intangible values, such as aesthetics, into measurements for incorporation into engineering evaluation systems; synthesis of existing information into guidelines, standards, and manuals; and development of procedures that incorporate roadside development considerations into total highway design.
