Abstract

Investigating the attitudes of young Austrian drivers that between the age of 20 and 29, when building up their social and professional setting, the alcohol consumption rate is highest. For this target group arrangements should be found to lower the group pressure for alcohol consumption to which these drivers surrender still. A contribution to enlarge road traffic safety can therefore only be expected in reducing the group pressure for alcohol drinking.
