Abstract

A study of 977 fatal traffic crashes that occurred why fatal crashes that occurred in British Columbia from January 1, 1985, through December 31, 1986 was carried out. The study generally concerned why fatal crashes occur and thus examined a wide range of causal factors. The primary aim was to determine the number of fatal crashes due to alcohol use among drivers and pedestrians.
