The role of model parameters in trip distribution models.

Abstract

A home based trip distribution model is derived using statistical mechanical techniques with the aim of obtaining a clearer understanding of the model parameters. Model calibration techniques are developed and the underlying model hypothesis is extended to incorporate bias in trip-making decisions.
