Abstract

Steady exposure of an eye to a glare source produces discomfort An attempt has been made to trace the discomfort to the stimulation of pain nerve endings in the irides. A method has been developed for analyzing the pupillary response into components which makes it possible to relate the discomfort to the pupillary fluctuation. Preliminary results are presented.
