Abstract

The aim of the study was to investigate the extent to which transport factors acted as a constraint on job search, focusing on car ownership and journey to work. The survey suggested that the homes of the unemployed were on the whole adequately linked to the centres of employment in which the need to seek work. No major criticism existed on the quality of transport provisions.
