Dit rapport doet verslag van een vragenlijstonderzoek naar routekeuze van automobilisten in de regio Den Haag. Aan meer dan 400 automobilisten uit vier woongebieden op 20-25 km afstand ten noorden van Den Haag is gevraagd welke routes zij regelmatig met de auto naar Den Haag rijden, en welke alternatieve routes zij eventueel nemen. Het onderzoek beoogt een beeld te krijgen van het routekeuzegedrag van automobilisten en van de verschillende factoren die daar mogelijk bij meespelen. Twee vragen staan in het onderzoek centraal: 1. Welke routes kiezen automobilisten naar Den Haag onder normale omstandigheden en welke redenen hebben zij daarvoor? 2. In welke mate en waardoor laten automobilisten zich beïnvloeden om een alternatieve route te nemen? Aan de resultaten uit dit onderzoek - actuele, valide, Nederlandse gegevens uit de praktijk - kunnen in een latere fase meer theoretische modellen over routekeuzegedrag worden geijkt. English title: Motorists' route choice : results of a questionnaire study English summary: This report presents the results of a survey about route choice among motorists in the area around The Hague. More than 400 motorists living in four areas about 20-25 kilometres north of The Hague answered questions about the routes they normally use to drive by car to The Hague and what alternative routes they also use. The study aims to produce a picture of motorists' route choice and the various factors that possibly play a role. There were two main research questions: 1. Which routes do motorists choose to drive to The Hague under normal circumstances and what are the reasons for doing this? 2. To what extent do motorists use an alternative route and what are the reasons for doing it? The results of this study consist of up-to-date, valid data from Dutch real-life route choice. In a later phase of this research, they can be used to calibrate route choice models that are more theoretical.
