Abstract

This illustrated booklet, intended as a traffic guide to assist foreign residents in and visitors to japan, contains ten chapters as follows: (1) rules for everybody; (2) things the pedestrian should keep in mind; (3) when on a bicycle; (4) before you get behind the wheel; (5) driving tips; (6) danger spots and hazardous conditions; (7) driving on national expressways and motorways; (8) motorcycling; (9) traffic accidents and breakdowns; and (10) for every car owner. An appendix contains information on the obtention and renewal of licences, traffic violation, suspension and revocation of licences, accidents and insurance, traffic information and breakdowns.
