Abstract

The objectives of the research are (1) to develop the necessary data collection rationales and techniques needed to investigate an adequate sample of rural pedestrian accidents; (2) to collect and analyze data for the purpose of indentifying the causal factors of rural pedestrian accidents; and (3) to identify countermeasures directly relevant to the accident type.
