Abstract

The SAE handbook gives a review of the developed SAE standards and recommended practices. The first part presents metallurgy standards. The other part deals with electrical equipment and lighting, powerplant components and accessories passenger cars, trucks and buses. Safety aspects of interior and exterior of the car, and human tolerance in crashes are described.
