Abstract

After a general introduction on highway safety the goal of the MHSB to reduce traffic injuries and death is explained. To meet this goal the MHSB have identified three principal parts of an all-out attack on the problem. This three part effort to reduce traffic death and injuries consists of pre-crash, crash, and post-crash factors.
