The conference theme of ‘Saferoads 2004; Key Issues – Local Solutions’ will bring together municipalities, community groups, road safety bodies and research organisations to: • Increase knowledge and awareness of key road safety issues and promote good road safety practice to Victorian local government, Community Road Safety Councils and community groups; • Highlight best practice in road safety and community programs through showcasing recent developments at the local, state, national and international level; • Promote a multi-discipline approach, involving collaboration with partners, as an aim for community programs; • Provide local government and road safety practitioners with an opportunity to network and learn from each others experience and knowledge in the field of road safety; • Highlight the partnership approach to delivering arrive alive!
