Safety comes first when transporting the handicapped.

Abstract

When seen in terms of pupil transportation as a whole, the transportation of the handicapped child is a relative new and small part. The business of transporting the handicapped child must take giant strides forward to ensure that the transportation is safe and humane. Recommendations to do so are presented. Good and bad procedures and equipment of transporting the handicapped are discussed.
