Abstract

The author unveils plans for a computer-controlled dual-mode transport system, declaring that much of the technology is at hand. The dual-mode vehicles are small electrical "urb-mobiles" that may be either be driven along streets under their own power or attached to guideway rail systems capable of propelling them along at speeds up to 100 mph. The advantages as well as the problems of such a system are discussed.
