Abstract

The object of the study was: (1) To study bodily injuries to car occupants as to extent and degree of severity during one year after the enforcement of the New Traffic Damage Act. The study covers the period 1-7-1976 to 30-6-1977. (2) To investigate to what extent the risk for being injured in a traffic accident varies in relation to model year and model changes of private cars. (3) To study the importance of car weight /car size in relation to injury frequency and (4) To investigate the protective effect of seat belt use.
