Abstract

Needs and reasons for an active participation of the Motor Insurance Industry in traffic safety work are analyzed. Methods for safety promotion used by insurance companies in various countries will be presented. The "<marketing value" of these activities will be discussed from the viewpoints of insurance consumers, accident victims and insurers. The presentation is summed up by trying to evaluate the effectiveness of the safety marketing efforts made by the insurance industry in various countries. (A)
