This report presents an analysis of safety problems at a junction in a Swedish town. The work was based on a method earlier developed in the project, where an analysis of accidents, videotaped road user behaviour and more conventional measurements of traffic, such as composition and flows, is used to select appropriate road safety actions. After these measures had been introduced, a follow-up study in terms of conflict studies and changes in road user behaviour was carried out. Road user interviews with motorist and cyclists were conducted both before and after the junction had been modified. The implemented measures proved to generate the planned effects on behaviour as seen from videotapes.
