Abstract

This report discusses the connection between young people's lifestyles and their accident risk in traffic. Besides gender and exposure to traffic, the variables that carry weight are alcohol and intoxication, special motives for driving, at what hours of the day the car is used and for what activities. The result of the study shows that men dominate in the high risk groups and that efforts to reduce the high accident rate of young people should above all be concentrated on young male drivers.
