Abstract

The target group of SARTRE 3 (Social Attitudes to Road Traffic Risk in Europe) was the same as in previous measurements: the Dutch car driver. The criteria for participating in this questionnaire study are: ownership of a car driving licence; and in the last 12 months one should have driven at least 100 kilometres as a car driver. In November and December 2002, 1009 face-to-face home interviews were conducted among the respondents, based on a "quota sample". The four hard criteria for which testing was done are: gender, age group, region, and occupation.
