Abstract

A computerized maintenance management system is being developed for Utah's state highway department. Components of this system include performance standards, a maintenance management reporting system, planning processes and performance evaluation techniques. The technique allows maintenance field organizations to formalize scheduling processes and conduct more timely performance evaluations. A flow chart of the following scheduling processes is presented: general scheduling, specific maintenance need identification, and resource scheduling.
