Abstract

This paper reviews the defects in school buses. Interviewed following the investigation, bus company officials readily admitted their buses were prone to failing clutches, leaking windows and steel body joints, accelerator governors seizing, loss of brake fluid at master cylinders, loss of power brakes, and clutch control linkage breaking.
