Abstract

Young students (5 to 9 years) are over involved in pedestrian accidents and are unaware of various traffic control devices when compared to cider students (10 - 14 years). Drivers in school areas do not generally perceive school signs. School trip safety programs incorporating walking trip maps permit the school and the parents to focus on a tangible means of improving student safety.
