Abstract
As part of the new political issues a demonstration project in the city of Nijmegen will be performed to evaluate the English traffic control programme SCOOT in the Dutch practice. This programme optimises on- line the traffic signals at the intersections in a network from a central computer. The lost time and the number of stops in the whole network will be minimised, resulting in green waves.
