Abstract

The Highway Safety Research Center of the University of North Carolina has done several incentive projects to increase the use of safety belts. This report describes seat belt incentive programs with three North Carolina high schools and represents an extension of earlier incentive activity by the Center. The role of the Center was to train the local personnel in all aspects of project requirements and then monitor the results.
