Abstract

The effectiveness of the seat belt in relation to the nature and severity of injury experienced by different groups of motor vehicle occupants involved in injury events with a high degree of homogeneity. The study includes results for collisions involving two-vehicle crashes, heavy vehicles, light vehicles, vehicles in high-speed zones and those in low-speed zones.
