Abstract

A review of the Canadian experience with respect to seat belts and traffic safety is presented. The first section of the report describes seatbelt-wearing rates in Canada. The second section of the report reviews studies of the effectiveness of seatbelt legislation in Canada in reducing deaths and injuries resulting from motor vehicle accidents.
