TRB’s Transportation Research Record: Journal of the Transportation Research Board, No. 1942 explores transportation security-related topics, including emergency evacuation of densely populated, urban areas and the response of transportation systems; the impact of security perception on intercity mode choice; trade-offs between security and inspection capacity at land border ports of entry; activity-based approaches for homeland security applications; air cargo security regulations; and a survey of employee security awareness and alertness training programs at state departments of transportation.
