Abstract
Selection of drivers as well as preventive vehicle maintenance are described as basic tools in accident prevention. However, over-emphasis on preventive maintenance at the expense of the more fertile field of selection and training of truck driver responsibility in a danger. Therefore, it is concluded that more significant gains in accident prevention will result from a greater concentration on driver responsibility through selection and training.
