Abstract

The National Roads and Motorists' Association (NRMA) and the New South Wales Police Department combined in a campaign to assess the effect of an educational styled enforcement effort to increase the rate at which children are restrained while travelling in motor vehicles. Results of surveys carried out before and after the campaign when compared with previous trends showed an increase in use of restraints by children, particularly the older child(four to seven year age group).
