Abstract

One method for identifying high risk adolescent drivers is to ask them directly to rate their own driving abilities. West and Hall (1998) found that novice adolescent drivers were able to predict their own collision risk in their first year of driving. The goal of this study is to improve our understanding of adolescent driver risk taking and our ability to identify subgroups of high risk adolescent drivers prior to licensing. (Author/publisher)
