Abstract

The car described in this article in a example of how they could be incorporated to the benefit of the motoring public. To maximize occupant safety is case of crash, the design of highway vehicles should prevent ejection of the occupants, minimize crushing or distortion of the passenger compartment, and keep the forces and acceleration experienced during a crash from exceeding survivable levels.
