Abstract

In mathematical terms a procedure employed by the NHTSA of DOT for the analysis of two-vehicle accidents is described. Results are derived that show the effect on specific indices of 1) errors in assignment and 2) a Composite Assignment Rule (a mixture of Fixed and Random Rules).
